Kathy Roden Floyd

Kathy Floyd
has many years of experience in speaking to a variety of
audiences on a variety of topics.
As a funeral director, she was often called on to talk about her
career and about many aspects of dying, death and grief. In
her term as head of the local hospital's Women's Health
Resource Center, she presented programs on women's health
topics and stress management. She spoke countless times to
middle school and high school students on topics related to
teen sexual abstinence in conjunction with Paris's Project
SAVE (Sexual Abstinence and Values Education). She also
taught and facilitated programs for hospital employees on
customer service, morale and increasing human effectiveness.
Eventually, Kathy was asked more and more often to present
humorous and inspirational programs for women's groups,
club meetings and other events. After putting on the hospital's
annual "Girls' Night Out" event for nine years, featuring such
nationally known speakers as Liz Curtis Higgs, Anita Renfroe
and Becky Freeman, she was asked to be the featured speaker
for "Girls' Night Out" #10, which she describes as the most
fun hour and a half she ever had! She was privileged to
present a track workshop on "Humor and Healing
Hand-in-Hand" at the American Association of Christian
Counselors' 2007 World Conference.
Kathy is available to speak and teach for both Christian and
secular events including retreats, conferences, banquets,
classes, club meetings and corporate events.
